Green Day - Green Day Homepage Green Day’s 2004 album American Idiot is becoming a Berkely musical with the help of a Broadway director. Originally, the band had considered making the album into a movie, but when that fell through, director Michael Mayer (Spring Awakening, Thoroughly Modern Millie) suggested doing it as a musical. The 75 minute musical featuring an onstage band and a cast of 19 will maintain the pace that Green Day fans are used to, without an intermission. Every song from American Idiot will be used in their original sequence following the emotional arc of the album. Interspersed among those will be two songs released as b-sides and four songs from 21st Century Breakdown. Rolling Stone has the full story about the play including interviews with Billie Joe Armstrong and Michael Mayer. American Idiot will run September 4 to October 11 at the Berkeley Repertory Theater in Berkeley, California

Green Day should make people aware that Wal-mart sells Hemp products in every store in America, and the people of America can't grow Hemp anywhere legally, Once again Wal-mart is treated different then even its own consumers.
